2004 Grand Trophy Award Winner - Great West Casualty Fleet Safety





Des Moines, Iowa - On Thursday, September 16, 2004 Mid Seven Transportation was presented with the 2004 Great West Casualty Fleet Safety Grand Trophy Award for 2004. All IMTA members are eligible to submit an application .The awards are based upon safe miles driven in the State of Iowa. Upon receiving the applications, the Iowa DOT audits all the applications to verify the information submitted is accurate. The second phase of the selection process involves consultation with the FMCSA and further verification of the company's commitment to safety through review of their profile of SAFERSYS and VOLPE. The final selection phase is a review by a committee comprised of ICSM representatives, insurance executives, lawmakers and a member of the motoring public. This exhaustive process insures the selection process is of the highest integrity and truly identifies the carriers that are deserving of this prestigious recognition.

Mid Seven Transportation Company operates flatbeds in 30 states. There are 14 employees and 55 total drivers at Mid Seven Transportation.

Driver selection and training is the most important part of the Safety Program at Mid Seven. Mid Seven has a core of experienced drivers and their turnover is extremely low. Safety incentives are presented on a quarterly basis. Mid Seven Transportation Company believes that a strong maintenance program is a vital component to their safety program.
